I have recently just passed my driving test i couldn’t have done it without the help of Mark Jordan driving school.
Before i started to even think about taking lessons i had heard many good things about Mark Jordan and all his great instructors. I had read all the excellent reviews and had been told first hand by my friends and family. I then decided it was time to start my driving lessons so i instantly thought of Mark Jordan and they fit me in straight away.
At first i was quite nervous about driving, but as soon as i got in the car with my instructor Richard, he made me feel at ease right away. Even though i heard all the great reviews i was still a bit on edge about who my instructor was going to be. Luckily i had Richard, I couldn’t have asked for a better instructor, he would give me different ways of remembering and understanding things if i didn’t quite get the topic.
Richard made learning to a drive an absolute breeze, i expected learning to be difficult and a long process but with Richards teaching it made it fun and interesting to learn, as soon as my lesson was over i couldn’t wait for the next one to come around. My lessons were for 2 hours and they felt like 20 minutes.
As well as making sure i understood the topic, Richard would put me at ease by making jokes and just having good conversations in general which made me enjoy my lessons even more. It felt like Richard really cared about me and my driving and this is another thing i was worried about prior to learning, because i didn’t want an instructor who didn’t care a lot.
I would definitely recommend Mark Jordan Driving School to anyone who is considering to start their driving lessons. I have already told my friends and family that when they do start their lessons to go straight to Mark Jordan.

Will I Drive on My First Lesson?
Yes.
You will definitley drive on your first lesson. Your driving instructor will drive you to a quiet and safe area to start and go over some basic training that you will need to perform each time you get in the car, we call this the 'Cockpit Drill'.
Once you are familiar with this they will then give you a full briefing about driving the car and get you to have a go whilst they talk you through every step of the way.

Your first driving lesson is the start of our 'Accelerated Learning System' to help you to test in the shortest time, saving you money and frustration along the way.
How Many Driving Lessons Will I Need?
It's really hard to know until you start your lessons .
The average pupil according to the DVSA requires approx 45 hours professional tuition plus 22 hours private practice with friends or family to reach test standard. This can of course sometimes be more and other times could be less.
We strongly recommend having 2 hour lessons once a week.
By having a 2 hour lesson you will learn far more on each driving lesson as you will have time to reflect on each subject and be test ready in half the time.
using our unique Accelerated Learning System and taking a regular 2 hour lesson once a week will give you more time to practice the subject you are currently learning, you retain the information better and as mentioned you will be test ready sooner.
If you book with us your chosen lesson slot will be the same time and day every week so you can plan your free time knowing your driving lesson will always be the same.
Can I Block Book Driving Lessons?
Yes.
We strongly recommend booking in blocks of 10 hours. This will give you a discount of £20 based on our pay weekly price. If you have paid for 10 hours and decide you need to stop for whatever reason we will happily refund any credit you have remaining. Plus if you pay in 10 hour Blocks you get the added benefit of our 'Pass Your Driving Test Guarantee'
What Are Your Instructors 1st Time Pass Rate?
We are very proud of our 1st time pass rate and our driving instructors deserve a lot of credit for their hard work.
Its impossible to give the exact % as we have tests almost every day so it will continually change.

How Do I Start My Driving Lessons?
First you must apply and receive a provisional Driving Licence, this can be applied for via the .GOV site, Apply for your first provisional driving licence.
Once received you can start looking for your driving instructor, some driving instructors work independently others will be members of a driving school where there maybe 3 or 4 that work in your area.
You can look for a driving instructor either on Google or via the .Gov site Find driving schools, lessons and instructors.
Once you feel you have found the right one give them a call or drop them an email explaining you wish to start driving lessons, they will probably ask you a few questions, like what is your availability? some will want a deposit for the slot you have booked others will take payment on the day of pick up.
If you have any queries your chosen instructor should be able to help or point you in the right direction.
Do You Pick Me Up Or Do I Meet You?
All our instructors will pick up and drop off locally. We can pick up after college or work and drop you back at home. Pick up from home and drop off at work or college.
As long as it is local we will even drop you off for your dentist or hair appointment in town.
As long as you let your instructor know at the beginning of the lesson or text them the day before they will be happy to help.
